Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
All your drives and settings are stored privately in your own iCloud account. Nothing is collected by us or sent to any third-party server. Your data is backed up automatically and stays in sync across your Apple devices — and it survives deleting and reinstalling the app.
How are day and night hours calculated?
When you choose your state, the app applies that state's rule to split each drive into day and night time (splitting drives that cross sunset). You can adjust any drive's day/night breakdown yourself. Always verify current requirements with your local DMV.
Does the app track my location?
No. The app never tracks your location in the background. Distance (miles or kilometers) is entered manually and is optional.
How do I record a drive?
On the Record tab, tap Start when you begin driving and Stop when you finish. You can pause and resume. If you forget to log a drive, add it manually from the History tab with the date, start time, and duration. You can also start and stop a drive with Siri.
How do I export my log?
On the History tab, tap the share button to export a PDF of your drive log — including a signature line for a parent or guardian. Apply a filter first to export only the drives you want.
